Thank a volunteer

This year, Volunteers’ Week takes place between 1-7 June. During the week, we want to say a very, very big thank you to our army of 6,500 volunteers and 340 voluntary groups. Every hour given by our volunteers counts. Without their generosity, we wouldn’t be able to keep our support, care and knowledge networks alive.

We’re looking for ‘thank you’ messages and stories which we will share during Volunteers’ Week in June. Would you like to thank a special volunteer? Please help by sharing your thank you story using the form below.

We’ve suggested some questions to help you share your story. If you do choose to share your story, please do ask the volunteer you’ll be thanking if it’s OK first.

We won’t ever publish your story without your permission. If we do want to talk to you about using your story, we’ll get in touch and ask you to fill out a consent form. We won’t always be able to reply to everyone, but thank you again for sharing. We will hold entries up to 31st July after which the data you’ve submitted will be deleted.

Please fill in your contact details below. If you're under 18, put your mum, dad or carer's details or ask them to do it for you:

Keeping in touch
We'd love to keep you updated about how we support people living with diabetes and how you can help by donating, volunteering and campaigning. We'll stay in touch with you by post and phone. It helps us to keep our costs down if we can email you but it's entirely your choice.

Occasionally we may need to share personal data with our suppliers to process your orders and requests or to provide other services to us. We promise:

  • Never to release your personal details to another company for their marketing purposes
  • To always respect your communication preferences

We only want to send you relevant information and requests to support us. To do this we may analyse the information you provide and gather extra data. You can find out more about how we use your information at www.diabetes.org.uk/privacy.

You can change how you hear from us or ask us to stop communicating with you at any time:
